Our after-school care
After school, the children come to the Rheinpiraten: lunch, supervised homework and then time for theatre, nature and free play – in a space just for the school children.

Primary school children
Care after school until the end of primary school, i.e. up to about age 10.
Care hours
After school until 4.30 pm
Fridays until 3.45 pm. Children arrive between 12.00 and 2.00 pm after school.
Holidays
From 7.45 am
During school holidays we offer full-day care with outings and holiday projects.
Rooms
A space of their own
Around 60 square metres with a homework room, reading corner, quiet corner and table football.
Way from school
From school to us
Our after-school children attend the primary schools in Hitdorf. For the first six months we pick them up from school, after that they come to us on their own.
Closing times
Almost always there for you
We are closed between Christmas and New Year and during the last three weeks of the summer holidays. Care is available in all other school holidays.
An afternoon at after-school care
After school, take a deep breath first: eat together, do homework and then off to new adventures.

What makes our after-school care special
- Homework with support: a fixed time, a quiet room and someone to help when things get stuck.
- English stays on board: after-school care is bilingual too, in conversation and play.
- Theatre and nature: two fixed programme items that all children take part in.
- Time to switch off: reading corner, quiet corner and table football – after school, it’s fine to just play.
After-school care fees
After-school care receives no public funding and is paid for entirely by the parents.
